简介
“Tonight” by Butch Cooper & The Teardrops is a driving Pop tune about rejection and an unrequited love affair. Cooper has written tunes that have charted nationally for others but felt that he needed to record this one. “Cherie, Cherie” by Big Al Jano is a road house rocker about a biker chick that is a dart game hustler and likes to dance after winning. A fave tune in Southern biker bars a few years back. “New Nuclear Age” is a driving apocalyptic tune performed by the soulful duo of Bill Sheffield & Liane Webb, two extraordinary singers that trade verses with each other and intertwine melody. “He’s Got Style, But He Ain’t Got Class” by Schmaltz. A tongue in cheek rock group that write tunes many others can relate to by using satire or personal observations. In this tune it doesn’t matter if you drive a luxury car or designer clothes, it’s what is underneath that really counts. “Sista Mary” by Starfoxx features the soulful voice of another piano and vocal R&B legend from New Orleans, Allen Collay. Based on a true story about a ghetto vamp that breaks hearts and runs around on her lovers. “When She Loves” is a tune from Rock’s “New Wave Era” by The Bop, a Florida based group. It is reminiscent of the pre-drug era, positive romantic tunes performed by the first English Invasion of bands in the mid-1960s. “You Better Keep Rocking” by The Feel is a speed punk style tune about the political, environmental economic conditions and what you need to do to maintain your sanity. It applies as much or more in the present political world as it did during the Punk Rock era. “Babylon” is another Starfoxx tune but features Big David D on vocal. It is a mix of fantasy, existentialism and opiate induced perception of reality in a time warped tale. Big David D was an avid fan of Pink Floyd, the group that influenced him. “You’ve Got Me Worried” by Delanna Brody is about a boyfriend that is totally irresponsible about taking care of themselves. Delanna believes that almost every woman is familiar with this situation. “So Much,” the 1960s rock tune by The Night Shadows featuring Little Phil, was a Top Ten Hit in several states. The Night Shadows old records are all collectibles and their 1968 album, “The Square Root of Two” often sells for more than two thousand dollars to high rolling vinyl collectors. (Track was transferred from the original acetate master.)
