He classifies his talent as "Holy Hip-Hop" with a twist of Rhythm & Praise. Bg Whyte was born in Pine Bluff Arkansas on September 27, 1981. Writing his own music allows him to display his talent and share his life story with his fans. “I absolutely love to tell a story as I write. I try to paint pictures with my words while providing an essence of education in the verses wherever possible.” Bg Whyte is gearing up to release his debut album entitled “Diamond in the Rough.” His latest single POLISH ME was released in September 2011. POLISH ME is the song that sets the theme for the whole album. Bg Whyte says when he thinks about his relationship with God, he sees himself as a diamond that is fresh out of the ground... still rough, uncut, and in need of polishing. Bg Whyte says the single POLISH ME is a cry to the Lord to, “Polish me till I shine as the man that He wants me to be in the end.” At the age of 18, Bg Whyte fell asleep at the wheel of his car and crashed it into a ditch. He woke up from that accident with a new lease on life. He realized that the Lord spared his life for a reason. There was a purpose to be fulfilled. Bg Whyte sung R&B music until 2010. After his awakening moment, he decided to change his direction of music towards rapping for Jesus Christ. The newly turned Christian Rap artist has performed all around the great state of Arkansas. He took the stage at the ASTATE Showcase at The Village in 2010, and he moved the crowd as the entertainment for the 8th Annual Life Line Christian Rap conference held at the State House Convention Center in May 2011. “My inspiration for rapping and song writing comes from a strong desire to tell the good news of Jesus Christ in music, in a form that is appealing to a wide range of people,” says Bg Whyte.
