THIS CONTENT IS LICENSED Elevation Music Studio (EMS) is proud to announce that they will be embarking on their very first Christmas album project, called – ‘The Hope of Christmas’ – culminated by a Christmas concert in December. The primary reason for this project is to give Junior vocal Artist, enrolled with EMS, the opportunity to experience the industry first hand from the perspective of a real artist. They will be exposed to areas such as, but not limited to: the creative process, sale generation, building brand awareness (promoting themselves), conducting interviews, performing with a professional live band and emphasizing the humanitarian side – Giving back is AWESOME & fun! The full-length CD is scheduled to be available on December 1st and is currently being pre-sold to help offset the cost of the project – since the project is being fully funded by EMS. (currently) Costs include the following: First and foremost, since this is essentially about the EMS junior artists, it is important to the project organizer and owner of Elevation: Ryan Lewis- that his junior artists are paid. Which will certainly be exciting for most of them – being awarded a minimum of $100.00 ‘of actual money’ and not food, beer or pop …. for doing something they love – in accordance with their fundraising efforts and overall involvement. Ryan has also invited professional musicians from YGK area to be represented on the album – to aid with the reach and versatility of the album – Lewis is very protective of art in general an fully endorses the idea of paying artists for their creativity or craftsmanship. So every artist featured on the album will be paid a minimum of $40 per hour. The production of the physical CD will cost over $1200 – as it pertains to CD replication, cover printing, graphic design, photography, bar coding and distributing the album through iTunes, Amazon, Xbox and all the major online music retail entities. Cost to rent the venue for the Christmas concert in December, along with paying the live band chartered to cover the material from the CD and to pay for the license for each song that is currently not public domain. 25% of the CD proceeds will go to aid a charity organization, supported and endorsed by Ryan Lewis and EMS, called HANDS OF HOPE www.facebook.com/handsofhopekingston – an organization run and operated by volunteers who raise funds with the sole intent of providing families in need, within YGK, with a month’s supply of groceries and gifts for each child in that house hold – this occurs annually in December. In 2014, they helped over 70 households/families – raising approximately $200 per family. EMS is community driven and is eager to be able to invest into this community through this major project.
