One of the last of the analogue kids, Michael Kranicke founder of VDK, grew up when listening to music meant vinyl or the radio; feeding on rock and roll that had harmony and melody. He played with different bands as he learned the guitar. Fifteen years and hundreds of shows have brought many wonderful moments, applause, laughter, smiles, and cheers. “It is all about the song, stripping down the music, and getting down to rock and roll,” says Michael. Now with their new album Mileage, and a new line up, Michael is ecstatic to launch VDK for new audiences. VDK has changed their narrative, while they have sustained their passion for the song, for the first chord, for the wall of sound, for the girls, for the rush, for love of it, for the addiction to music we all like to never lose.
