简介
Mikhal writes songs that tell powerfully conscious stories. Raised in Jerusalem, Israel, she now lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Her influences span many genres and musical worlds, from Ani DiFranco to Aaron Copland to Madonna. Her songs are deeply influenced by her experiences as a middle-eastern gay woman and her love of poetry and folk music. Daughter of the Sea is her debut full length LP, made up of an amalgam of writing and arrangement styles that tell a cohesive story of womanhood. -- rocknroll bloodorange splatters on a canvas dragged froma dumpster swooping colors streak across the coarsely made cloth coming alive reaching arms beyond the twodimensionality of paint to cleave open a wellguarded soul a beast in my breast lies awaiting the first primal howl the time of rising up and joining in the raging lust of rocknroll thick like honeycomb between my fingers knead it knead it pound it til it rises filling every cranny it matters not that we can’t see it – it is more present than breath, it is breath quickening, panting, slowing to a deep down rasp it is everything a room full of molecules quivering in time.
