简介
The Red Water Trio features Hawaii Island artists Richard Russell on guitar, Jesse Snyder on horns (and voice and percussion), and Luke Clebsch on bass (and harmonica) performing jazz standards from the 1920s through the 1950s. The friends on this recording are Slyde Hyde on trombone, Andrea Lindborg on trumpet and Joey Bradley on vocals. Richard Russell (AKA Ricardo) has produced and performed on several other recordings that feature his original compositions. Snyder and Lindborg performed on a Hawaiian swing album that garnered a GRAMMY nomination in 2013. Slyde Hyde has toured and recorded with hundreds of artists including Count Basie, Woody Herman, Carole King, Frank Sinatra, Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Cannonball Adderley, The Beach Boys, Earth Wind and Fire, Madonna and many more. The Red Water Trio can often be heard Friday evenings at the Red Water Cafe in the upcountry cowboy town of Kamuela, Hawaii on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Jazz Angle was produced by Richard Russell and recorded and mixed by GRAMMY award winning producer Charles Michael Brotman at Lava Tracks Recording Studio. Karl Kasberg was assistant engineer and it was mastered by Ross Nyberg.
