Released in April 2007, Color Outside the Lines is more than just an artistic or spiritual expression. It is a charge to the holy hip-hop community to step up their game. We need to step it up on and off the stage, says Celah. Some of us need to spend more time with the God we rhyme about and others just need to stop rhyming period. At first glance, Celah's sentiments may seem harsh, but they are rooted in love and in his desire to truly make an impact for Christ. A rising creative force in Los Angeles' holy hip-hop community, Celah also encourages emcees to pursue excellence, be creative, and have fun with the art form. In addition to his ministry on-stage, Celah co-leads The Nameless Fellowship with emcees L. Brown, TripllH (G-Boy Union) and holy hip-hop legends I.D.O.L. King. The Nameless Fellowship (www.myspace.com/thenamelessfellowship) was designed to unite and sharpen gospel emcees on the West Coast and provide a place where they can come together for support, accountability, bible study and prayer. Prior to his current ministry, Celah was a member of Disciples of the Most High with whom he recorded the gospel rap EPs Warface and DOMH-Whats the Name? Today, Celah is signed to the newly formed record label Hip Hopposite (www.hiphopposite.com), which released the mixed tape Big Money Jesus featuring Celah and other gospel rap artists in August 2005. The mixtape went on to be featured on the popular Christian radio talk show "The Way of the Master" Hosted by Todd Friel, Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort (www.thewayofthemaster.com). Color Outside the Lines is the first release for his company Hip Hopposite in April 2007. The Shaw is working to plant an urban church in the Crenshaw District of Los Angeles and operates Klub Zyon, a hip-hop/spoken word outreach ministry designed to bring secular and Christian artists face to face.
