ASIMOV are an emerging stoner rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. Unleashing sci-fi inspired themes, melodies and lyrics. The band formed in 2012 and released their first full length album The Void in early 2014. Comprised of Patrick Hogg (driving vocal, guitar), Cory Patterson (drums), along with vocalist & bass thumping native Sean Monks and newly added guitarist Anthony Lopiccolo. Distinct and contrasting vocals mix a round, loud and cascading wave of apocalyptic SpaceRock. Driving hard rock with influences from classic rock and stoner metal influences ranging from Helmet and Kyuss to The Sword and Big Business: ASIMOV has been rapidly gaining music fans and momentum. Review of 'The Void': Zhakathoom -- I'm just stupid in love with the tracks "Standard T" and "Full Circle" from this album. I'll admit I'm a bit confused with this album. First it comes off as a rather straightforward but groovy and throttle-crushing rock-and-roll album, but then there crops up an element here, a riff there, a song over there and the whole plot thickens. I've found the more I listen to this the better I find it to be. It's feels to me like every song, the more you listen to it, reveals it's own dimension somehow.
