简介

Some choose to become musicians out of the want for notoriety, fame and wealth, while some are just born with the natural God given passion to have something important to say to the world. The latter embodies the creative spirit of Mirakulus, who says he has been rapping for as long as he can remember, and can be seen on camera flowing as early as the age of 7. “I have a way with touching people with my words,” says the 9800 Brookfield East Oakland, California native. “If I can educate with my music and touch souls I feel like I’m doing my job.” This is exactly what Mirakulus has done throughout his music career, both as a member of the group Dyin’ 2 Live and as a solo artist. The content of his creativity has always stood for something deeper from a higher power, not just the typical d**e tales and murder stories. Having seen and experienced too much in his younger days, he had to find a way to express himself and to reach those around him and show them a better way. “I became a rapper because I had too much to say, I had seen too much,” he said. “I had too much going on in my imagination; I had to let it out. I had the passion for the music before I knew I could make money from it.” It was only natural that he would enter a thriving Bay Area music scene in the mid 90’s when it was at its highest point. Although he started out as a solo artist, Mirakulus who is Cousin to both Yukmouth of the Luniz and Tha Gov, met Sherm Stick from the 69 Ville in 1995 and they formed the group Dyin’ 2 Live or DTL. Their first release was 1997’s “Dyin’ 2 Live,” which some now consider an Oakland / Bay Area classic. Next up was 2001’s “Eternal.” After a brief layoff, Mirakulus reemerged solo in 2005 with a new outlook on life, which transferred into his music, still built from the streets, but much more spiritual, riding the line between the streets and Gospel. The result was his solo debut “Diary Of A Turf Angel.” Although it was released to little mainstream acclaim, the quality project was somewhat of a healing tool for Mirakulus who had recently lost his older Brother. To this day he calls the loss of his Brother and his 2 year old Daughter his main source of motivation. Over his 3 album career, Mirakulus has worked with some of the best in the Bay Area, including Multi-Platinum stars Yukmouth and Spice 1, Keak Da Sneak & Agerman of 3X Krazy, C-Bo, The Delinquents, Sean T, Marvaless, Cydal, Silk-E, G-Nut of 187 Fac, T-Pup of P.T.S., Beeda Weeda and many others. He’s also worked with top producers DJ Darryl, Tha Gov, Sean T, Bobby Ford, Terry T, Filthy Fingaz, and among many more. Plus he can be heard guest appearing on Patna Deuce “Heron Soup”, Half Pint “The Real 1/2 Pint”, “Businessmen Ballers and Hustlers” Compilation, “Ice Water” Compilation, Po Folks Children “Still Po” and Sticky Fingers “The Backstreets.” Then attempting to broaden his horizons Mirakulus has also made several appearances on screen. He had a role in the independent film “Bad Blood” which was released worldwide with 40,000 copies. Another role is in the yet to be released movie “Jackpot,” plus a cameo in the Division music video “Balleholic.” No stranger to the media spotlight, performing and live appearances, Mirakulus has received good coverage throughout his career, with features in some of the top magazines in Hip-Hop including 4080, Showcase in which he was voted “Quote Of The Month”, Rap Pages and Xplosive. He also appeared on local Bay Area television show Backstage Pass. Performance highlights include the Black Cowboy Parade with Keak Da Sneak and Silk-E, opening for Juvenile in Tampa Florida, and rocking the mic at the World Famous V.I.P. Records in Los Angeles. Being an artist who lived some of the Bay Area’s glory days during it’s rise in the early 90’s, Mirakulus understands what it takes for him to be able to maintain his credibility and relevance with the new generation of fans and music artists, and new styles of music and culture today. “With the new generation of talent taking over the industry, I have to rediscover my place among the old and the new fans and industry insiders,” he said. On his new yet to be titled album, Mirakulus feels he has perfected his style, and says he has a whole new swagger about him. Some of the featured artists include Yukmouth, Spice 1 , Beeda Weeda, Mistah Fab , T-Luni and Silk-E, Istevie and more. He’s also currently working on another mixtape, as well as a soundtrack for a Gospel cartoon “Brother Broski & Fam. Mirakulus has a New Collaboration project called” Catacombs” And will be dropping the new Council Compilation “Code of Honor’ June 2016 . Mirakulus is doing his part to bridge the gap between Oakland and the entire Bay Area of the era he started out in, and the one he is a part of now. His new album will be in stores and have World wide Digital distribution..... Keep your eyes open for MIRAK!
