Coming together in early 2012 and writing/producing ever since, Sydney’s Kid Zeus have been carefully crafting and creating their own brand of anthemic and visceral indie rock. Blended with emotional waverings and a dark sense of humour, their work has come to deliver one of the most exciting EP's to be released on the rock scene in some time. An amalgamation of influences could be made for the bands sound, throwing around acts such as: Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Kate Bush, Jeff Buckley and Kings Of Leon to name a few, yet Kid Zeus take all these ingredients and rehash and re-assemble them as their own, bringing a musical diversity and maturity not found in many new bands. Comprising of Guitarist/Producer/Songwriter Lex Luther Burton and Singer/Guitarist/Producer/Songwriter Adam Rennie, the Duo combined have a number of years and a number of bands between them. Growing up and living in London until his late teens, Lex grew up being home schooled by his High School teacher parents and as a result of his detachment, retreated to his own world of music as a child as a way to communicate and react to the world around him. Penning literally hundreds of songs between those early years and the subsequent move to Sydney, Australia, Lex wrote, re-wrote and erased song after song in search of his own brand of musical energy. Adam has played the live scene around Australia since he was a teenager fashioning his vocal style from an eclectic range of influences. His trademark is a multi-faceted and versatile voice that really carries the music and tonally drives the songs. Adam has been diligent in keeping his own style, both in writing and in his vocal work, to maintain a unique edge in today's music scene. 2013 will be the biggest year yet for the duo with interstate touring, film clips, more recording and extensive radio and internet campaigns to come. Their new acclaimed self-titled EP only hints at the possible works that are yet to come.
