Suite N 1 op 2 in Dm – IRREVERENCE Piano – String Quartet – Mezzo Soprano & tenor. Suite n 1 op 2 in Dm known as– IRREVERENCE, opened in the conservatory of Brooklyn NY in December 2011. Inspired in the introduction of the gospel of St. John, it presents an experimental dialogue among voices, string quartet and piano. Narrated in 4 movements, begins with a prelude for piano that refers to the very moment of the beginning of the Gospel; the second movement “Andante”, is the exposition of a counterpoint that prepares the development of different contemporary ideas. The Adagio, melódicoque bridge that evokes the harmonies of Romanticism begins in a string pianissimo, sustained by a slow circular piano. The last movement “Allegro”, retakes the history of the Gospel narrated from the powerful phrase of the beginning: “In principio erat verbum” (At the beginning was the verb) accompanied by harpsichord and voices. The last part of the movement narrates the most important events of the angelus, also known as Gratia Plena. The harmonic melodies of both fingers were closed by some circular dissonances, until concluding again in a harmonic balance point.
