Third Day is a short film which places you in the perspective of Philip Carver, played by Omri Rose, whose life begins to take a peculiar turn over the course of three days. From abusive telephone calls, to hallucinations and spontaneous blood-letting, Carver finds it increasingly difficult to retain a grip on reality. The score plays an integral role in Carver's descent into insanity. Two Twenty Two's frenetic string quintet arrangement is layered over a flowing Fender Rhodes motif and driving basslines. As he grasps at fleeting memories, Carver's darker moments of solitude are accompanied by an eerie, overdriven guitar. Away from the film, the listener could still find themselves immersed in each track, perhaps alongside a bourbon... neat, and a thousand-yard stare.
