Here are the stories behind some of the songs! Alda heilags anda: One night in September 2007 I had a dream, later I found out that many people in my nation have also had a same kind of a dream. I saw a gigantic ship outside the harbor of a city close to our capital city, Reykjavik in Iceland. It was so huge that our biggest ships looked like small fishing boats next to it. A few metal containers were dropped into the ocean which caused a giant tsunami wave to form and sweep over the city at a speedy rate. The wave of God´s glory had already started to sweep over our land at this time. A year later a major financial recession hit our nation with such force that all government officials used the language of a sea storm hitting our shores. We are still in the process of hearts being softened to God and we´re crying out for mercy: God bring revival and an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit! Aldrei adur verid elskud svona heitt: It happened on the last night of November,something so wonderful I just can not keep it to myself. At this time I had a nine month old baby and had just started teaching again. I was so tired, it had already been a long workday and I just wanted to go to sleep. As I was locking up my studio I looked at the clock and somehow it caught my attention, it was 8:20pm. At that very moment I heard a voice inside saying: Give me 40 minutes. I could feel how it drew me and whispered gently: Come here, I want to tell you something! Right then and there I easily could have turned off the lights and just gone to bed but I made a decision I don´t regret. Ok God here I am, I put on a worship CD and laid down on the floor. The next sixty minutes changed my life! It was as if God himself came into the room and the love that filled everything was completely indescribable. I could feel how the Holy Spirit was clothing me in a warm, fuzzy blanket of love, starting with my toes and going up to my head. What I just described was not only emotional, it had substance to it! I physically felt it! Again and again I heard the words I love you, I love you. It was such deep love and each time I felt a warm wave of heavenly emotions flood my whole being. I´ve never felt these kind of emotions on earth before, they were intense, so alive, so burning and their meaning was engraved into my heart. My heart was burning, the emotions and the love became so alive and real I was overwhelmed. My heart and mind were won over to this man, this God. What a love, so unselfish and giving. I finally found it......you know that thing everyone is looking for. A love beyond words that empowers, that sparks new hope and has lifegiving power. This secret meeting, I almost want to call it a "date" between me and God, was so real! When I came into the house that same evening and met my husband I told him I was in love with someone else, that I had another lover. He immediately knew what I meant........ this lover is looking for more people to love both here and in eternity. He wants to love you like this..... (try listening to this song with this story in mind.) Worthy is the Lamb Every song on this CD is birthed in prayer. That´s why I say God really is the author and I´m just the one that happened to hear it and record it. I heard most of the songs in my spirit during my personal time with HIM. ´´Worthy is the Lamb´´is one of the strongest examples of this. One day I had a vision of the throne room of heaven. I saw multitudes of people and angels worshiping the Lamb day and night. You may ask: ´´How can that possibly be fun´´? Well everytime they open their eyes they are overwhelmed with a fresh revelation of how magnificent Jesus is. That´s when they fall on their faces in deep worship. That´s simply amazing! So...this is how the vision started: I only saw shadows of people that were singing to begin with. Then the vision became more clear and I saw a bright light at the end of the middle isle. That´s when I realized it was Jesus, the Lamb of God I was seeing and I heard both the melody and the lyrics to the line: ´´Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb.......´´ After I had sung this for a while in the glorious presence of Jesus I ran into the other room , sat at the piano and found the right chords. The rest is history! We are created to be friends with God, to worship Him in spirit and truth. There is nothing else that can fill the empty void inside of us except Jesus. There is nothing that can quench and satisfy the thirst in your soul except worshipping the heavenly King. Open your heart and sing with heaven........ Heaven´s holy battlecry This song came out of a personal experience in a difficult season in my life. It is a closure to that season that was basically designed to destroy the dreams God had given me. It also marked the beginning of a fresh new season filled with joy and creativity. That´s why I think it´s appropriate to end this CD with the song that sparked it all! May the glory of the Lord fill your home as you listen!
