NJE is a Solo Hip-Hop artist who raps about life experiences & topics that our everyday people can relate to. He is based in the city of Campbelltown, in Sydney Australia, (Originally born in New Zealand to English Parents) In 2006 NJE Independently released his debut album NJE: LIFE'S SCRIPTUREZ to JB HI-FI stores & other Indy Hip Hop stockists... The album was well recieved especially the song/video cut "SIGN OF THE TIMES" produced by Finland's ANDY PHAT.. & the album's intro "LIFE'S SYMPHONY" which recieved high rotation on 96.1fm.. The album was also praised by DJ NINO BROWN who interviewed him on his show after hearing the LP's track "SIGN OF THE TIMES".. In 2008 NJE went on to get signed to local label Soul Connect Records where he released THE INDEPENDENT HUSTLER'S MIXTAPE mixed by DJ D-KUTZ, which spawned the live favourite & broke man's anthem "BROKE MAN'S BOUNCE" as well as many other hidden gems. NJE stayed true to form with the mixtape's name & from his own pockets toured Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne & back to Sydney to spread the name & his music. This hard work as well as a strong internet presence help build a loyal following Australia wide. NJE's Street team around Australia also helped to build his profile & get his music heard. From sucessful touring NJE started to plan his own shows more & more not only to help his name grow but to put hungry rappers on too! Giving back to the scene is something that NJE takes pride in doing. In 2010 NJE put out his 2nd LP "FROM THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN.." the album featured some well respected Aussie talent like MIND OVER MATTER, PHATCHANCE, TORCHA (HYJAK N' TORCHA) & More.. The album also featured US R&B/Soul artist DANNY BOY who sang with the late/great 2PAC on his songs "I AIN'T MAD AT CHA" & "PICTURE ME ROLLING" the album has been very well recieved by his fanbase. The album's first video "APPETISER (THE ENTREE)" was played 5 weeks in a row on ABC TV's RAGE... 2 weeks running it was played alongside HILLTOP HOODS- THE LIGHT YOU BURNED video too. It was also played in High rotation on CHANNEL V in The Phillipenes + CHANNEL 10's LANDED MUSIC gave it some good play. The video was followed up by 2 more clips "BLACKOUT" & "FALL BACK" both popular cuts from the LP.. The song "WILL I EVER" featuring PHATCHANCE & DANNY BOY (2PAC's Former singer) has been on rotation on Sydney commercial radio station THE EDGE 96.1fm for over 4 months!. The songs "WE MARCH ON" feat UNDA DWELLA & "THIS MY MELODY" were played on the TRIPLE J HIP-HOP show too. NJE over the years has supported/done shows with the likes of ICE CUBE, XZIBIT, PUBLIC ENEMY, BONE THUGS N' HARMONY, D-12, THE OUTLAWZ, CLASSIFIED (CANADA), BRIGGS, PHRASE, PEZ & 360, ILLY & M-PHAZES, MIND OVER MATTER, HYJAK N' TORCHA, SPIT SYNDICATE, PHATCHANCE, HUNTER, K21, SOCIAL CHANGE, COPTIC SOLDIER, SCEPTIC & DSEEVA & the list goes on... Early 2010, after the release of the new LP. NJE decided to part ways with Soul Connect Records & is now an UNSIGNED hard working independent artist. With plans of a new album in the pipes NJE looks forward to bigger & better things...
