简介
Justin Curtis and Sally Jo spend most of their time travelling from show to show singing about life's heartaches and love stories while Sally-Jo pounds out the rhythm on her upright bass and Justin strums along on his acoustic guitar. Recently they paused to get together with some of their friends to complete their fourth CD, Shoulda Known Better. Shoulda Known Better was produced by their pal Russell Broom and features him on keyboards, mandolin, and guitar (electric, acoustic and lap steel). Added to the mix are other A-list musicians playing drums, piano, organ, harmonica, pedal steel as well as a couple of surprises. Combining influences of Johnny Cash, Hank Snow, Buck Owens, Stompin’ Tom, Mike Ness, Blue Rodeo and many others the CD is a fresh twist on classic roots rockabilly outlaw country music. The Songs: 1. Nothing Lasts Forever (another great country divorce song) 2. Nashville Basement Apt. Blues (some things you never forget) 3. Lonely Side of Lonesome (exploring the fine line between depression and anger) 4. Old Fashioned Love (last chance for romance) 5. Scarlett Jayne (pretty name, pretty girl, broken heart) 6. The Prophet (the psych ward is no place to meet women) 7. Ride Into the Night (all about falling in love and running from the law) 8. Ring of Fire (fall in love and burn in hell) 9. The Ways of Love (how to get a girl to say "Yes" to your marriage proposal in 3 minutes or less) 10. No Apology Intended (only a booking agent could say this with a straight face) 11. Bye Bye Love (a happy tune about love gone wrong) 12. Spam (the unwanted email, not the unwanted lunch meat) 13. Get Rhythm (a rockabilly prescription) 14. Zombie Blues (the world needs more songs about zombies) The musicians: Justin Curtis: vocals, guitar, harmonica Sally Jo: upright bass, vocals and zombie scream Landon McCoy: drums Russell Broom: guitar, mandolin, keyboards, lap steel Chris Lawrence: pedal steel guitar Skip Edwards: piano, organ Brantley Kearns: fiddle Dustin Keillor: guitar Late Night Mike: bass Richie Ranchero: snare drum Harry Orlove: guitar Shawn Nourse: drums David McKelvy: harmonica Joey Buttler: guitar Choir arrangement by Jeremy Johnson
