Born and raised in Gulfport, MS, David Grey began his musical career later in life. He grew up driving and building race cars in the family business and then realized his passion for music. He soon began writing songs and singing demos’ for local songwriters. One of those writers, Wanda Mallette, known for such hits as “Looking for Love” (Johnny Lee) and “Just Another Woman in Love” (Anne Murray) recognized his raw talent and signed him to Wanda Mallette Music. After three years of honing his writing and singing skills, Capitol Nashville signed the young artist and began recording his first major record that was later shelved. In 1992, he put his career in the hands of a brand new label, BFE/BMG Records. His debut album titled ‘Signature’ included a song written by Garth Brooks, was released in March, 1993 along with his national television debut video from the single, ‘1-900-2-LONELY’ which aired on TNN and CMT. After many years of experience in the music industry, he is a dynamic performer that has shared the stage with some great artists including Martina McBride, Bill Monroe, The Monkey's, Charlie Daniels, Jerry Lee Lewis and Sammy Kershaw. In 2005 his "Cowboy's And Engines " tour to benefit Hall Of Fame Quarterback Jim Kelly’s Non profit organization, “Hunters Hope” was postponed after Hurricane Katrina ravaged his home town and left him yearning to get back to his family. In 2006 he returned home to Gulfport and is currently writing for Good For The Soul Music BMI, working on a new album and producing for Cat 5 Records. He is also guiding the career of label mate Lisa Lee Albritton. Their collaboration includes a duet the new single "We're Out of Here" which is a pure country smash about navigating through life's struggles. The song is receiving some amazing reviews from country radio stations across the country.
