Most of my life was spent searching for something that would "inspire" me. Not just musically, but inspire me to live this life to the fullest. I tried everything that promised inspiration. From all different drugs, money, and the adrenaline rush you get when you try to fight three guys, or kick someones door in and take them for everything they have. I wanted to be the biggest and the baddest, I wanted my life to mean something, I wanted to count. Instead, all I got was a list of felonies, a lot of fines, court ordered rehab, short term stays in city jail, county jail, and state prison, 300 hours of community service, 2 years of D.O.C. probation, and a feeling of being trapped in this life I had created with no way out. After screwing my life up beyond what I could fix, I finally found the one thing worth living for. Before finding this inspiration, my rap was always subpar. Standard, boring gangster rap glorifying money, guns, drugs, and all of the other ridiculous nonsense people rap about. But when I found this truth, I was able to overcome my battles, with drug addiction, crime, and everything else that was suffocating me in my life. I was able to finally be at peace. My life had meaning, and I was completely set free from the person I once was. That is when my rap started to get good. I finally found something that evoked true emotion in me, something that inspired me. That something is Jesus Christ. The Son of God who came to earth and died the death that I undoubtedly deserved, solely for the purpose of reconciling us to God. And when I encountered the love of Jesus, everything changed. That is my only inspiration, Jesus Christ is my everything. And through His death and resurrection, He offers us all forgiveness, and freedom from sin.
