Brothers Trenton and Trevor Jenkins along with their father, Wesley Jenkins, form The Jenkins Twins - a folk/bluegrass family band hailing from Irvine, Kentucky. When asked who most influenced their music, the twins quickly credit an extensive mesh of bands and styles. However, that list is easily crowned by three names: The Avett Brothers, John Prine and Jake Bugg.

Their style of music, they said, “It’s something of our own. Such as folk and country with a bluegrass twang.”

As far as writing their own songs, they both agree the music is easier than the words.

And even though these young men make this all seem easy with their amazing harmony and picking skills, they have put much hard work and dedication into their music. They are playing what they love and keeping their music “real.”
