Since Mike and Hilary began singing together in 2002, they have been in demand at special church services, events and fundraisers in Austin and central Texas. After repeated requests, they got to work recording this album. Mike is a gifted singer/songwriter, earning his chops as a pub circuit singer to rock lead singer in the Dallas band, Pound for Pound. Moving to Austin in 1989, Mike started the bands 14 Bones and Mayan Bike to perform and record his original material. He is known as a powerful singer of rock, gospel, contemporary sacred, folk and classical music; touching hearts and raising spirits wherever he performs. Hilary is a dynamite singer who has been working in gospel, sacred, and country rock throughout central Texas since the early '90's. She has recorded with the Cosmic Dust Devils, Rusty Weir, Tim Brace and Russ Bartlett. Hilary is a busy performer, splitting her time between working with Mike and performing at numerous festivals and retreats. Hilary is known for her strong, distinctive singing style. She packs a lot of passion and soul into her delivery. In addition to Mike and Hilary, several talented musicians contributed to this CD, with Tyler Mabry on piano, John Koehler on bass and Laura Mordecai on percussion. In addition to producing the songs, Kevin Hamilton played keyboards and synthesizer. Marley's Ghost sends a message of hope and connection to the universal human and spirit connection. Together, Mike's and Hilary's voices produce a matchless blend of beautiful harmony. The result is music that sounds at once familiar and novel; finely-crafted melodies and original interpretation.
