Welcome to the very first Recode Recordings sampler featuring a carefully selected collection of forthcoming coming music from the Recode Recordings camp. First up is a classic house builder called ''From Da Sou''l by Dj Assassin. This Tune creeps up on you with it's deep Mk sounding organ bass and smooth strings and filtered chords is takes your ears by storm with a deep groove whilst giving you a taste of the original New York sound that made deep house what it is today with a very modern sound. The Second track on the ep is ''Solent'' the very talented David Louis Paul who expands on the deeper house theme on the sampler by delivering an uptempo boogie style bass tune with a haunting jazzfunk synth line over the top which oozes with the sound of London town. The third track is a debut release called ''Smoke It'' written by Keith James & Ralph Patterson. This track takes you on bouncing hypnotic journey with a huge pulsing acid bass line and a spaced out melody with a drifting male vocal over the top which builds and erupts in a classic style of the house played by John Digweed and Sasha and others a true classic that will be played all over this year and beyond. The fourth cut is an absolute techno classic called ''Quick Sand'' by Sir Lord Comixx one of the latest artist to join the label, Quick Sand is raw ad funky as hell with a smashing bass groove and driving beat. I have personally witnessed it devastate a crowd whipping them into a frenzy when it dropped on sound system. You need this track and a big thank you goes to Keith James for this killer edit. The Last track on this Ep is by the naked man himself Nude Man. With this new track Nude Man drops an almighty Electro bass track with an booming 808 tech funk rhythm and amazing chords over the top. This is definitely a battle tune for all the Breakers and Poppers and dance floor hustlers.
