Biography: Taking Care of Business Gwamba has always lived by these simple words, and is proof that if you keep playing the game “your way” you’ll eventually change the rules for everyone. “I don’t consciously go out of my way to be different”, Gwamba says from his home base near Portland, Oregon. “When I started, I just wanted to write cool songs and riffs, I liked a lot of different types of music, and it seems they all end up in my music one way or another.” If there ever has been a way to describe Gwamba it has to be his ability to defy categorization.
