"You're for Loving." is a collection of love songs that my Mother would play and sing at the piano when I was growing up. She would say "Your father would sing these to me when we were 'courting'." I was mesmerized by this style of music and lyrics. From those experiences, I fell in love with singing and songs. I moved to New York from Kansas City in 1975 to become a performer. In order to keep a roof over my head, I made elephant blankets for Ringling Brothers Circus...which parlayed me into becoming a Costume Designer. I have designed or assisted on over 60 films, Broadway plays, and television projects. Although "sidetracked", I have always found time for what's closest to my heart. I met John Wallowitch through my dear friend Dixie Carter the first year I was in New York. Having grown up with the music and lyrics of the Gershwins, Porter, Carmichael, Arlen, Rogers, Hart, Berlin, Kern, Coward, ect. I naturally fell in love with Wallowitch. John is a consummate pianist and an extraordinarily gifted songwriter. He was most recently awarded the MAC AWARD for songwriter and performer of the year. John has written the music and lyrics for thousands of songs. I have included six which became very dear to my heart when I met my husband Richard.
