Born and raised in the Central District and South End of Seattle, Washington F-Lee has been a legend on the streets even before his rap career started. He is known throughout puget sound for being in the trenches survivin and hustling in Seattle from Union St to Henderson all his life. About his upbringing F- Lee says, “I don’t remember having a dad although my mom said he left when I was about four. I’ve been into music for as far back as I can remember; it started with beatboxin, and I’ve been rhymen ever since I was like 11 or 12. That was back in the LL Cool J, Eric B and Rakim, Biz Markie days.” While “F”, as he is known by friends, was runnin the streets and hustlin his music part time, he met Seattle native and platinum producer Funkdaddy, who is known for production work with D12, Daz, E-40, Cool Nutz, Mac Dre, Ras Kass, Sir Mixalot and many more. it was around 1995. His distinct voice and various styles of rhymes and metaphors were an instant hit and kept fans hanging off every word. After collaborating with Funkdaddy and being featured on numerous projects there were high hopes for his first album, which was due to be released in 1998, but wasn't released until 2000 due to some legal troubles which kept one of Seattle’s finest locked down until his release in 2005. F-Lee has been in the studio non-stop working with Funkdaddy as well as R&B singer Francci (who has worked with Dr. Dre, Keisha Cole, Scott Storch) and many more. Back in the hood with another chance at life, a new purpose, and a new album "Live From the Hood" F-Lee is finally able to share his music with the world and tell his life stories on the mic with 100% accuracy.
