Paying tribute to treasured works for concert band while also exploring new sonic possibilities for today’s modern wind ensemble, “Elements” includes five works exploring both traditional and new musical elements. Featured is the world premier of Julie Giroux’s newest symphony entitled Symphony No. 5 ‘Elements’. Symphony No. 5 highlights the elements of sun, rain, and wind in three movements bringing to life a fascinating new work for wind band. The recordings were made by members of the Eastern Wind Symphony, located in Princeton, New Jersey, led by Todd M. Nichols, Artistic Director and Conductor.
