"Peace On Earth" written by James Casto and Donna I. Douglas was originally recorded by platinum selling country artist, Lila McCann. The idea for the song originated with Casto reflecting on a particularly difficult year for himself and close friends. "I was thinking about the pattern of Christmas where we ask for certain gifts and all I really wanted at the time was peace" says Casto. Songwriter Donna I. Douglas ("Hard Way" / Faith Hill) heard Casto's song and immediatelty thought it could be edited for a broader audience. The two sat down one night in Atlanta and rewrote the powerful holiday ballad. The version represented here, is a duet with Casto and Grammy Award winner Cheryl Rogers.
