Kris Miller has entered the music realm like a streak of lightning. Bringing with her a new sound and freshness that stirs the soul. In the few short years since she released her first CD, “Alive and Well” she has gained popularity around the world and grabbed the attention of the people. Her songs reflect the wisdom and joy of her life, which is a story of devotion to Almighty God. Both her peers and those in the music industry have honored Kris with many awards, for singing and songwriting. Recently she was chosen New Artist of the Year from the Gospel Music Tour Convention. She won first place out of hundreds of entries in the songwriting contest at the Inspirational Country Music Awards put on by the Christian Country Music Association. Her music is crossing over into the many different types of radio play because of its uniqueness and her ability to lighten the heart of her listeners. Kris was brought up in a Jewish household in Northern Ca. Seeing the world as it was she was brought to a point in her life where she was calling out to God with all her heart to know the Truth. At the age of seventeen she met a group of people who were living like Jesus Christ and His apostles. She entered a life of faith, on the road, walking barefoot, witnessing to a life of peace and love for your fellow man. “I went through many trials and hardships, and also witnessed extraordinary miracles. I found that TRUE FREEDOM IS FAITH” When you come to a place inside where you know that your Heavenly Father loves you and that the promises He gave us through Jesus Christ are all true, you find there is really nothing in this world that can touch you. Of coarse it is a pilgrimage to know God. Every experience in this life of good and evil has its lessons about the true nature of our Creator, which is pure love. When you actually BE and LIVE in what Jesus said you find the answers that bring you peace. For example, when you know deep inside that you have been given eternal life, death has no sting. You begin to understand that you are already home. The Kingdom of Heaven is within you. Nothing can take that from you. Therefore there is nothing to fear.” Putting her heart and faith into her songs comes naturally to Kris. She’s a prolific songwriter with over 700 songs in her songbook. Since she first went public she has received many songwriting awards including the National American Country Music Award for “Rising Star” and “Horizon Award and Co-songwriter of the year.
