Empathy is more than an empty band name. This simple word defines the manner in which a group of young musicians expresses themselves. Through all music, thoughts, feelings, beliefs, opinions, and emotions are projected onto the listeners. After spending nearly four years in a basement growing as friends, maturing as musicians, and molding as a band, the four members of Empathy are ready to project their outlook on life. With four years of preliminary work, Empathy has achieved a sophisticated rock sound on their debut album, Brother (summer, 2000). The disc presents a variety of original material that is suitable for many different listening crowds. From the up-to-beat jam of "Nothing To Lose" to the acoustic ballad of "The Greatest Fall," many different listeners can enjoy the well-crafted CD. Love for music will keep Empathy moving and creating as time progresses. Members Greg Rahm (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Todd Holbein (lead guitar, back-up vocals), Brant May (bass guitar) and Brian Kellogg (drums, percussion) are attending the Ohio State University and will begin projecting their personality onto the personalities of others in order to be better understood.
