Mary Davis and Ed Entmacher have been writing music separately for many years and have albums of their own. This album features songs written by each separately, and songs co-written by them. Mary's music flows gracefully, and her lyrics are very personal, emotionally powerful and poetic, and her voice is as beautiful as ever. Ed's music is jazzy and his lyrics are often reflections of his fears, desires, and aspirations. The co-written songs are spiritual in nature, dealing with our ever-present existential concerns. Many of the musical arrangements were collaborations with several world class musicians, including Grammy award winner Eliot Wadopian. Their contributions create rich layers of textures and tones, adding depth and dynamics to well crafted lyrical ballads, and energy and vibrance to the upbeat jazz ensembles. This album is rich; it's lyrics written by two composers with maturity and depth.
