Music Biography of Derek R. Lauer, A.I.A. Derek Lauer is an Architect with 17 years of experience in design, construction and illustration. As a Musician, he recently released his 9th self-produced CD of the band Soar, totalling over 120 songs of Original Music where he wrote, produced & engineered the recordings and played all of the instruments with the help of a few of the finest drummers around. Most notably are the CD's “Window of Stone”, "Wake Up Call" & "Dreams of Reality are Life" which highlight his composing and performance abilities. Derek Lauer is also currently a staff writer for PlaybackSTL.com, an online music magazizne where he Interviews legendary musicians and reviews instrumental and guitar oriented live and recorded music. . . . Derek is the principal of his own Architecture firm and has produced drawings for over 2 million square feet of construction. Derek Lauer specializes in contemporary and modern Architecural Design . . .He was previously an adjunct professor at Washington University teaching architectural graphics and computer animation and has also taught music theory and guitar techniques. . . .Derek Lauer is accepting Students and Interns interested in mentoring towards architectural licenseship. . . .
