简介
Undergoing many changes since their formation in 2001, Genetic Control has finally found a setting that most suits them. Going from a 5 piece to a power trio took some readjusting but it made the band much tighter and focused. In its original form Charlie Schiller and David Solomon were both pioneering members of Genetic Control. As the primary songwriters and musical arrangers they have guided the band under the direction of their highest influences including The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Police and Nirvana. With the addition of Danny Mejia after a number of spinal tap like disappearances of past drummers the band was able to find a mix between these classic influence and a modern marketable sound. In 2003 Genetic Control released their first official EP, "The Things You Mistake to be Free" recorded by Wayne Dorrell of Pigeon Club studios and mastered at Avatar Studios by Fred Kevorkian. In April of 2006 the band's current line up released a self titled EP featuring tracks to be released on their forthcoming self produced LP (engineered by David Solomon and mastered by Fred Kevorkian). The band plays throughout NYC and have appeared in clubs such as CBGB's, The Knitting Factory, The Bitter End and many others. The band released their first full length album, "Back in New York" in June of 2006. More information can be found on their website www.GeneticControl.net and www.Myspace.com/GeneticControl
