Hailing from Wichita Falls, Texas, The Doppelgängers have been doing things with their hands since late 2011. Their blistering debut effort, "The Left-Handed Stranger," was recorded in 2015 at The Fourth Dimension in North Texas, and mastered by Brad Boatright (Obituary, YOB, Sleep, Harm's Way, Nails, etc.) of Audiosiege Mastering in Portland, Oregon. Containing six original compositions as well as a stand-out cover version of The Bakerton Group's masterpiece, Work 'Em, the all-instrumental album fuses elements of prog, stoner rock, funk, and blues into an energetic mixture dubbed "instrumental progressive riff worship" by the band themselves. The album may or may not tell a story of sorts, but it's sure to grab your ear and keep you intrigued.
