The first time I rolled into Nashville, the truck in front of me proudly displayed a "CASH" bumper sticker and I knew I had made it - to Nashville anyway. This was an instant reminder I was now just one of the thousands of singer/songwriters, who came to this hallowed ground all following the same dreams. I found out pretty quickly I had A LOT to learn about this buisiness, singing, songwriting, and I am still learning everyday. My track "It Was You", was the very first song I perfomed in Nashville at the historic Blue Bird Cafe. I remember standing on the stage thinking how Garth Brooks, LeAnn Rimes, John Prine, and many other artists, along with dozens of great songwriters had all stood in the same exact spot I was now standing - no pressure. My song was met with great applause, hand shakes, and pats on my back as I walked through the crowd to my seat that evening. I thought - okay... I guess I have a knack for this. Don't get me wrong... friends, family and fans had told me before how much they liked my songwriting, but this was now validation from industry peers, and musicians with a true appreciation for music. These are also the same individuals who hear "phenomenal" music on a daily basis - so it really meant a lot, and has driven me to become a much better singer/songwriter. I'd like to thank the many songwriters, artists, producers, managers, publishers, mentors, and friends from Nashville who have all helped me to better "develop" and "craft" my songwriting. These are all tracks I have penned over the last year, and I really believe they are some of the best songs I have written to date - I hope you will think so as well. I still stuck true to my style and have written about my "True Life" experiences, the people and places I've met and seen along the way. Hopefully with this album, you will have a more colorful view of the world as I see it when you listen... and I hope you enjoy "Another Round".
