Records press release) This morning, around 4:37 a.m., through the cloven skies, with peaceful wings unfurled, there arose such a clatter...the only creature stirring was a dadburn fool, who had, for the third consecutive year, shirked friends, family, loved ones, duties, traditions, THANKSGIVING, etc. to spend every free waking moment of the last 2-and-a-half months...on another Christmas album? 2010...an album of jazz standards covers and still yet another Christmas album...Good progress on the core mission of archiving your original catalogue, JMT! Exhausted and bleary-eyed after averaging 4 hours of sleep per night for the last couple of months, the wallow-fest was capped off with a 20 hour mix and master marathon yesterday on my "day off". The birth of this sugarplump (33 minutes and 16 seconds) has already been heralded by critics as the "Godfather III" of Christmas albums, which I feel to be too kind and generous...I'd liken it more to "Jaws III in 3-D". At any rate, all this time spent in "Counting House" studios has me seeing Bob Marley and three spirits in my imminent peripheral...Seriously, if you see me waxing nostalgic come next September - I'm talking even the faintest twinkle of another Christmas album in my eye, stomp on my foot, light a match, yell the safeword...SOMETHING, ANYTHING, PLEASE!
