This track is dedicated to our "One-legged Muse in Virginia" (Jack's words, not ours ;) To answer this question for the first of, I'm sure, many times to come. Who is Jack? Jack was, among many things too numerous to list, a tremendous friend, a proud father, an adventurous spirit, and a gifted and beloved teacher. Unfortunately, towards the end of February of 2016, Jack passed away following a short, but valiant fight with Pancreatic Cancer. Because Jack was inspirational to some pretty amazing musical adventures and endeavors that I've personally been a part of, it only seemed right to dedicate something to him. A musical circus intended to showcase the fact that you never knew exactly what you were going to get from Jack's personality; and, an adventurous undertaking that includes some fantastic guests (parts of the production of this wound up happening in 4 different countries), and also something that evokes the spirit of the kinds of music I remember listening to with Jack so well. He was a man who was tremendously generous with his time and friendship to everyone who crossed paths with him. This special digital and really limited-edition vinyl single release is because we would like to pay that forward and honor Jack by putting proceeds from this release toward the McCarron Trust (setup by the Mary G. Porter Traditional School) & also to try and put together a decent donation in Jack's memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (@pancan) to try and help out others that find themselves in the same position. Please join us in this effort to "#Wage Hope"! If there was ever a person who deserved to be played off in a good way, it was Jack. This one's for you, buddy!
