简介
The Ribeyes were formed around 1996. Tim Cronin and Jon Kleiman (ex-Monster Magnet and soon to be ex-Monster Magnet) had a fake punk rock band called THE REAGANS and while dicking around one day they decided to cover The Creation song How Does it Feel to Feel. The results were underwhelming, and then they tried to do it in a country-ish style. While not great by any standard, it wasn't terrible, and thus The Ribeye Brothers were formed. They started to write their own songs in an inept garage/country style and tricked a few friends of theirs to join the band. Flash forward to 2012. The Ribeye Brothers are still together. They've released three albums. They have played with, among others; Roky Erickson, The Reigning Sound, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, The Seeds, The Sadies, The A-Bones, The Dirtbombs and Andre Williams (as well as serving as Andre's backing band ). They've just finished their new album Call of the Scrapheap (on Main Man Records). The band consists of Brent Sisk, Neil O'Brien, Joe Calandra, Jon Kleiman and Tim Cronin. It's a mess of country tinged psychedelic garage rock or psychedelic garage tinged country rock. Christ, I don't know how to describe it. I do know that it was produced by Jon Kleiman and Phil Caivano.
