Sir“ Oliver Mally and Martin Gasselsberger might come from different musical worlds - their new programm however proves, that Contemporary Blues, Singer/ Songwriting and Melodic Jazz go together incredibly. These two exceptional artists play mostly own songs, partly derived from the tradition of Steve Earle or Townes van Zandt, as well as influenced by Muddy Waters, Lightnin´ Hopkins, John Lee Hooker and likewise. Without imitating „note-by-note“ though, the emphasis lies on the musician´s personal style, granting their songs great originality. The sensitive interplay and sense for dense atmosphere guarantees a thrilling evening.
