简介
Terremotor earliest ground breaking sounds started in 2015 when musicians Duda Victor (guitar/tsouras), Paulo Tropa (drums) and José Duarte (bass) met. At that moment they were making history. The first surf rock band from Umuarama, a small town located hundreds of miles from a tiny hint of smell of sea water, in the state of Paraná, Brazil, was finally born. But let’s get a bit acquainted with these musicians. Paulo Tropa and José Duarte were part of a now extinct band of Brazilian soul music, Nega Jurema, another atypical attraction for those whereabouts. Duda Victor, the most experienced Surfer in the band, previously founded other surf rock projects in and out of Brazil, first with the band Búfalos D’água from Londrina (also in Paraná state of Brazil), with four records: Ocean (1997), Pacific Hell (2001), Farewell to Shore (2004) and Clássicos da Surf Music (2004). In Athens, Greece, where Duda lived for some years, he co-founded the band Dirty Fuse and made the following records: Lost Riders (2010), Dirty Fuse (2012), Surfbetika (2013), Last Wave (2014) and Back to Brazil (2015). In July of 2017, Terremotor released their first (self-entitled) album, and followed exactly one year later by their second, in July of 2018, entitled, “Surf’n’Cachaça”. Let’s drink to that, shall we?
