"El Encanto" ("The Enchantment"): Life, death and change. The 4th album of Lantana. Recorded between London and Berlin, this EP has two wonderful collaborators: Stefan Olsdal (Placebo, Hotel Persona) and the german pianist Bernd Sandner. The result is an EP full of emotion, intensity and imagination. Four beautiful songs that make indivisible piano and voice. A musical journey through love and its complexities. The lyrics of the romantic waltz "El Día de Mi Entierro" ("On the Day of My Funeral") will not leave you indifferent. The bass, guitar and synths arrangements by Stefan Olsdal on "Aquello del Querer" ("The Wanting") reminds us of the soundtrack of the legendary film Blade Runner. "Desde Que Te Fuiste" ("Since you left") has a strong romantic atmosphere and electronic effects. These are songs with a very intense and unique personality. And finally "Ruido" ("Noise"), the single chosen to represent this EP with a videoclip, a heartbreaking and beautiful song. The mixing has also been done by the Placebo member. The pianist Bernd Sandner permeates "El Encanto" with romanticism where the protagonist is clearly the classical piano. His brilliant performance is the result of the harmonious musical relationship with Lantana. This other "beginning" of the artist is a natural progression from his previous album, "Ex-Corazón" ("Ex-Heart"), which ends with the song "Amapola Blanca" ("White Poppy"), a song for piano and voice, that introduces "El Encanto", a personal journey, full of dark places and natural light.
