Café Cirque by Shoehorn, recorded and released in 2008, has been remastered with an updated track sequence and an new spoken intro to "Wet Foot Blues". This album is a sophisticated cabaret circus soundtrack with echoes of Hollywood and Broadway and the postwar jazz mecca that once was part of Yokohama. Noir, Tango, Rhumba, swinging "rhythm changes", and a freshly innocent jazz waltz (penned by the leader's young daughter at age 12) coexist with the exotic textures of the electric tap dance instrument and bass clarinet and a rap vocal explanation of Gershwin's muse.
