O's began as O's of Presidential sometime in 2012 and consisted of core members, Evan Donoghue on vocals and guitar, Zack Beach on drums and Stefano Kajatt on bass guitar. In December 2014, Joe Lawless joined as second guitarist and keyboardist and recordings began on this debut album soon after, at Lawless Noise and Visions Recording Studio in Las Vegas. Donoghue wrote the eleven songs with arrangements by the entire band.

The songs themselves are inspired by late '60s psych tunes and albums by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd as well as garage rock mainstays like The Sonics and The Stooges -- experimental but solid rock music that anyone could appreciate. The band was happy to add John Fallon (of The Steppes) to the production team at Lawless Noise and Visions as the album neared completion.
