简介
Artie O'Daly is a singer/songwriter, except not so much with the singing. Getting his start writing musicals in college, his songwriting hobby has evolved into pet projects with him on the piano and close friends on the mic. The current CD, "Backwords/Forewords", is a reflection on young adulthood with introspections on the past and the future. Constantly looking back while still wondering and waiting for what's ahead, yet inevitably always being in this moment: the present. Using the piano as the backbone, the eleven-song set ranges from acoustic soft rock ("She Doesn't Love Me Anymore"), country ("Not Around You", "Sleep"), musical theatre lite ("Genius", "Proof"), blues ("Fall") and pure pop balladry ("Alaska", "Crumbs", "Nobody Does It Anymore"). The album contains vocals by Theresa Ryan (a multi-talented singer/songwriter/actress/comedienne from Las Vegas who has gained most attention for an appearance on the television show, "Don't Forget The Lyrics"), and Matt Thomas (a CSU Long Beach graduate currently teaching music in San Bernardino). Artie is an actor by trade living in the Los Angeles area. He has had appeared on such shows as "Grey's Anatomy," "Scrubs," "Gilmore Girls," and "Veronica Mars," but has always held music as his closest and dearest friend.
