Barry Waldrep grew up rural Alabama in a traditional bluegrass world, performing with his fathers bluegrass band on the southeastern bluegrass circuit. In his teens he was heavily influenced by the Allman Brothers Band & Charlie Daniels. He has spent years performing in the Honky Tonks and College Campuses all across the U.S, and recording as a side man on countless CD projects. In 2009 he joined up with The Zac Brown Band for a tour, and is featured on The Zac Brown Band "Pass The Jar" CD/DVD. He also toured and recorded with Joey & Rory, and is featured on their release "Album #2". In addition Barry is featured on the Randy Travis "25th anniversary celebration" CD. Barry is also responsible for many bluegrass tribute projects to these great artists. Widespread Panic, Phish, String Cheese Incident, REM, Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina, Lee Ann Womack, Brooks & Dunn, Eric Clapton, Neal Diamond, The Allman Brothers Band, Travis Tritt, The Black Crows & Alan Jackson. After several other solo projects, he now releases "Smoke From The Kitchen". A power house of original songs and artists that have been on his mind for many years.
