简介
Vinilo began in 2009 with the collaboration of Adriana Diez's voice and Kenny Urbina's guitar. As the collaboration grew they discovered a formula, combining heavy melodic guitar riffs and catchy memorable vocal melodies which showcase Adriana's powerful yet sultry vocal tone. What this combination needed was a rhythm section with the passion and talent to complement the inspired body of work Adriana and Kenny were creating. As fate would have it, quite by coincidence Roddy Cruz (Bass) and Cinque Kemp (Drums) happened to be Kenny's friends and co-workers. They discovered their amazing chemistry while jamming at work. This was the missing piece of the puzzle. Kenny and Adriana's vision of the songs was finally realized. The band immediately got to work diligently rehearsing, performing around the NYC area honing their craft and perfecting these songs. The sound that was created from this musical venture grew into a very unique mix of style and influence, due to the different backgrounds of each musician. Adriana's influences include a wide variety of American and Latin Rock such as the Pixies, Chris Cornell and Jaguares. Kenny's influence comes from growing up listening to 70's and 80's radio. Roddy's Christian church background trained him to be a master of rhythm and pocket mainly influenced by Victor Wooten and James Jameson. Cinque comes from a very eclectic Jazz fusion school of thought which enables him to experiment with the heavy syncopated rhythm. This duo forms a wall of sound which is a perfect complement to the prolific songwriting team of Adriana and Kenny. Vinilo has quickly gain recognition as one of the tops bands in the NYC Latin Rock scene and Adriana as one of the most respected female vocalists of the genre.
