Dear Listener, This followup to 2011’s Big White Vinyl was recorded over the past three years and the mostly original songs embrace country rock, folk rock, rock n’ roll, reggae and ballads. I'm accompanied once again on harmony for five songs by Elayne Terranova, a superb songwriter and vocalist in her own rite. The album kicks off with the rocker "Our Town", about returning to a more innocent place and time. It follows with "Leave It For Another Time", a plea for gun control. "It's My Way" is a jazzy acoustic number about acting just a little crazy and contains some cool double harmonies from Elayne. There are 11 originals in all, including “To Be Free”, written in the 70’s (with updated lyrics for the coda) for our short-lived country rock band Ruby Slippers. I usually like to include at least one cover; this time it's the Beatles’ You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away. And the album ends with the title song, a reflective ballad on making decisions later in life – will I accept change and cross that bridge? I hope you will cross that bridge with me and give this album a try. Thanks for listening! Joe
