简介

BluesHammer has been called the "best Blues band you never heard of", but the word is out now! This CD titled "Set One" represents many hours of hard, yet fun, work and faithfully represents the sound and energy that is BluesHammer. Introducing BluesHammer BluesHammer is the latest effort by some of the most seasoned Blues Musicians in the San Francisco Bay Area. Its members hail from all over the San Francisco Bay Area and have taken clubs by storm from San Francisco to the Monterey/ Santa Cruz Areas. They have been met with rave reviews and anxious invitations to return everywhere that they have appeared. The most frequent comment is that “there is something very special happening in the band between the diverse playing styles of the two guitarists” turned up a further notch by the addition of a solid rhythm section and a great horn player. The excitement grows from the opening notes to the end of the evening. Hold on to your seats and get your dancin’ shoes out as your feet are gonna’ wanna’ move when you hear them play. BluesHammer hammers out the blues with driving hard hitting solid blues standards and originals along with some of the sweetest and hottest slow blues numbers you have ever heard. Tim Schane – Bass/Vocals Tim has been on the Bay Area local Blues and Rock scene for many years, starting on cello at a very young age, then making the move to upright bass first, then electric bass at age 14, holding down the bottom end for a number of Blues, Blues/Rock and Rock bands, most notably Boogie D. Blues, Lane Coker and Big Delta, Georgi and the Rough Week, and The Teeze. Tim has also further honed his bass-playing skills by filling-in for various bands whenever the need arose for several different bands here in the Bay Area, playing in venues from Ely’s in Oakland all the way down to The Fogbank in Capitola. Major band influences on Tim’s playing range from the Robert Cray Band all the way to Al Di Meola, to Rush and then back to Albert King….a huge range of musical influences shape his bass playing. Tim is always happiest holding down the fattest groove possible, locking-in tight with the drummer, keeping the bottom-end solid so whatever’s happening on top can be completely comfortable. Scotty “Dog” Griffin – Drums Scotty “Dog” Griffin – Drums Wanting to play drums is one of Scotty’s early memories. He grew up in the SF bay area and started playing real drums at age 10. He played all through grammar school, high school and dropped out of college to go on the road with jazz and cover bands. Scotty played the Western States and Canada, Tahoe and all over the Bay Area for the next 11 years, settled in the South Bay and has played many local clubs and festivals. He made a live CD with San Jose's own local jazz legend Eddie Gale, played with Ron Thompson, Murray Lowe, and Peter Barshay. He is influenced by the many masters that have paved the way before him from Baby Dodds, Zutty Singleton and Sid Catlett through to the great players of today in many various styles. Some of the best moments of his life are when he picks up a rhythm or beat from one of his idols . . . the list is vast.
