I was born into an Air Force family traveling quite a bit as a youngster. My first music memories were my daddy's record collection...Hank Sr. albums...45 rpms of Johnny Cash, Webb Pierce, Johnny Horton, and Marty Robbins. I was 10 when The Beatles hit America and they had an incredible impact on me. I remained an avid listener of music until 17, when I picked up the bass guitar and learned Hendrix's "Hey Joe". I wrote my first song in 1973 about a woman, no less. I've played in all kinds of bands through the years; but songwriting is my heart and soul. Inspired by: Hank Williams Sr., John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Gram Parsons, Townes Van Zandt, Neil Young, Robbie Robertson, Van Morrison, Gram Griffin, and Sean Clark.
