This is Albert's truly astonishingly brilliant 4th album. A brilliant musician, composer and arranger, the closest comparison one can make is that Albert is the French Frank Zappa, except that that doesn't really do Albert or his original music justice. After being on 2 major labels, this sat for a little while on the shelf before finally coming out circa 1984. I remember waiting desperately for it to be released, and finally it was here! It's a more subtler work than his earlier three; it's not so blindingly obvious what a great album it is. You may have to play it 10 or 20 times before the addictive melodies and cornucopia of brilliant ideas become apparent, but they're there! This is my favorite of my many favorites by him. If you don't know him, you might initially like Albert Marcoeur, Album A Colorier or Armes Et Cycles better, but this is still extremely recommended!
