'Texas Roots Meet LA Style' From LA producer Leroy Miller, (Macy Gray, John Mayer), comes the new record 'Piece Of Me' by top Texas regional touring artist David Martinez. A veteran performer at SXSW, David has launched promotion of this new album at the Corpus Christi Songwriters Tour with musical contemporary Jimmy Willden, having played their first show in Austin at Texas Indie Fest this March. David will be touring Texas this summer promoting 'Piece Of Me', which is quickly becoming a favorite of indie DJs and lovers of independent music. 'Something Real', the first single released, has a Latin rock vibe some have compared to Santana's 'Smooth' with Rob Thomas. This single is airing across the US and UK, having won second place in the Top 100 Indie Artists of 2015 on Independent Share Radio with noted indie DJ Dave Davis.'Something Real' was part of David Martinez' set at Texas Indie Fest 2, held in Corpus Christi as part of 'Surftober' to a packed house at the Executive Surf Club. Most recently released was the single 'Piece Of Me', which has a soft rock ballad style and an infectious guitar hook that will delight fans of classic bands such as Boston. 'Live For Today' has a light reggae beat and a Jack Johnson flow, while 'I'm Alright' could easily be a modern day Rick Nelson tune played in any Garden Party. The romantic and tragic beauty of the lyrics in 'Rise' and the Spanish peppering in 'Believe' will satisfy fans of David's previous acoustic work, as well as fans of the current singer/songwriter movement. Highly recommended for fans of: Texas music, indie music, singer/songwriter, acoustic, classic rock, adult contemporary and Latin rock.
