Big Smith's second studio CD, "Big Rock," anticipates the band's move toward the electricity that now colors their shows with an emphasis on piano-laden southern rock grooves that sit comfortably alongside their original guitar-mandolin-washboard-bull fiddle hillbilly sound. These boys come from a large musical family, and on this record three additional cousins add their voices, banjo and fiddle to Big Smith's already energetic music.
