简介
Vocalist Jimin Lee has been performing with various styles of jazz ensembles and modern composition projects in Korea and the US. Lasting Fragments, her debut album as a leader, features original compositions that are full of creative ideas, fresh ensemble sound, and special vocal arrangements. The music is based on contemporary jazz that are open to a wide array of styles and ideas: traditionally swinging phrases with a quirky twist on Lyndon’s Luck, driving and fresh interaction on Do I and Once I Was, odd-meter choir background and narrative-centric sections on Rainworks, crisp funk groove with processed vocals on Beginning, heavy backbeats and gospel-like progression on I Hear You Talk, and more for you to appreciate. Instrumentaion for Lasting Fragments includes lead and some background vocals by Jimin Lee, piano/keyboard by Addison Frei, guitar and background vocals by Ronan Delisle, bass by Young Heo, drums by Matt Young. A tenor saxophonist Nick Salvucci and vocalists Gabby Byrd, Marion Powers, and Jordan Coffing add their sounds as well on several special settings. For more information visit: jiminleemusic.com
